About Au Sable South Branch

The South Branch of the Au Sable flows through the Oscoda County State Forest in a deep, remote valley. Wild brown and brook trout inhabit its cold, clear water. The Chase Bridge area is a classic access point. The South Branch carries the Hex hatch and excellent caddis action through the summer months.
