About Blackledge River

The Blackledge River flows through Hebron and Glastonbury before joining the Jeremy River to form the upper Salmon River, offering productive freestone trout fishing in central-eastern Connecticut. The stretch near Gilead holds wild and stocked brown trout in classic pool-riffle structure, with enough canopy and cold tributary input to keep it fishable through June. An underrated option for anglers who prefer lighter pressure than the Salmon River tailwater downstream.
