About Catoctin Creek

Catoctin Creek is a Potomac River tributary in Frederick County offering accessible spring trout fishing through a scenic valley along the eastern face of the Catoctin Mountains. The creek is stocked with rainbow and brown trout in the upper and mid sections, and its limestone-tinged water runs clearer and cooler than many Piedmont streams.
