About Eleven Point River

Missouri's only federally designated Wild and Scenic River — and it earned the designation. The Eleven Point runs through remote Ozark wilderness with exceptional water clarity, fed by dozens of cold springs. No impoundments, no development. Wild brown and rainbow trout thrive here. Access is limited and the scenery is largely untouched. Only one active Missouri USGS gauge (07071500 near Bardley); the downstream Ravenden Springs gauge is in Arkansas. If you only fish one Missouri stream this year, make it this one.

Regulations

Missouri fishing license + trout permit required (resident $12 license + ~$10 trout permit). The Eleven Point is a federally designated Wild and Scenic River — special-use regulations may apply on the designated reach. Standard Missouri trout regulations apply otherwise. 2026–27 regulation cycle. Verify at mdc.mo.gov.
