About Esopus Creek

A classic Catskills freestone running through the Phoenicia corridor — one of the most accessible wild trout streams in the region. Wild rainbows and browns mix with stocked fish, and the upper reaches above Big Indian hold native brookies. Strong Hendrickson, Green Drake, and late-season Isonychia hatches.
