About Green River Tailwater

A modest tailwater below Green River Lake Dam offering reliable spring and fall stocking near Campbellsville. KDFWR applies special creel rules in the tailwater section. Not a year-round cold-water fishery — water warms significantly by midsummer — but the dam-regulated flows make it more consistent than freestone streams. A solid intro-level tailwater for central Kentucky anglers.

Regulations

KY Fishing License + Trout Permit required. Special creel and size rules apply in tailwater section — check current KDFWR regulations before fishing. Stocking runs March 1 through late October. CFS alone does not indicate fishability — check Green River Lake Dam release schedule.
