About Jordan River

The Jordan River in Antrim County is Michigan's first designated Natural River — a tight, heavily canopied cold-water stream with wild brook and brown trout. The dense streamside vegetation and log-choked runs demand technical presentation. Wild brook trout are the prize in the upper reaches, with browns increasingly dominant downstream. A classic northern Michigan spring-fed river.
