About Klamath River
The Klamath River is undergoing a historic transformation following the removal of four major dams in 2023–2024 — the largest dam removal project in U.S. history. Salmon and steelhead are returning to hundreds of miles of newly accessible habitat. Regulations are actively changing as fish populations recover.
