About Linville River

The Linville River through Linville Gorge Wilderness in Pisgah National Forest is one of the most dramatic and challenging trout streams in the South. Wild rainbows and browns in a rugged gorge with thousand-foot walls — serious hiking required to reach the best water. Not for beginners, but worth every step.
