About Little Gunpowder Falls
A separate freestone tributary of the Gunpowder system flowing through Baltimore and Harford Counties, providing accessible put-and-take trout fishing closer to the Baltimore suburbs. The stream receives annual stocking of rainbow and brown trout and supports some holdover fish in deeper pools and spring-fed runs. It offers a lower-pressure alternative to the heavily fished Prettyboy tailwater.
