About Loyalsock Creek

A remote north-central PA freestone gem — high-gradient canyon water through Sullivan and Lycoming counties. Native brook trout in upper reaches, Class A wild browns and rainbows below. Sensitive to rainfall: it spikes hard but drops fast. Strong Hendrickson and Golden Stonefly emergences in May, with caddis and Slate Drake action carrying into summer.
