About Magalloway River

Below Aziscohos Lake Dam in the remote Rangeley region — a cold tailwater holding wild brook trout and landlocked Atlantic salmon. The early smelt run drives the spring fishery; the gauge sits right at the dam, giving an excellent read on the prime tailwater section just below. Heritage Brook Trout water; fly-fishing-only on designated sections.
