About Narraguagus River

One of the finest sea-run brook trout (salter) rivers on the East Coast — a unique fishery type. Salters are anadromous brook trout that move between freshwater and saltwater; they are NOT stocked. Resident wild brook trout are present year-round. Tide-influenced near Cherryfield. Heritage Brook Trout water; the salters are a once-in-a-lifetime fishery worth the drive Downeast.
