About Pemigewasset River

A major river draining the Franconia Notch and Woodstock area. Heavily stocked with browns and rainbows; some wild fish survive in tributaries and lower-pressure reaches. Classic mid-size New England freestone — best wading in the 200–600 CFS range. The upper river around Woodstock/Thornton sees less pressure than Plymouth.
