About Pine Creek

The 'Pennsylvania Grand Canyon' — a 47-mile gorge with no road access for 12+ miles. Genuinely remote wild trout water in the Cedar Run corridor, with Class A brown and rainbow populations and native brookies in tributaries (Slate Run and Cedar Run share this gauge as a hydrology proxy — neither has a dedicated USGS gauge). One of the East's true backcountry trout destinations.

Regulations

Class A Wild Trout designation in the gorge. Stocked sections in road-accessible upper and lower reaches. Tributary streams (Slate Run, Cedar Run) carry their own special regulations — consult current PFBC regs. Requires PA fishing license + trout/salmon permit.
