About Roach River

A small remote river flowing from First and Second Roach Pond to Moosehead Lake at Kokadjo. Wild brook trout and wild landlocked salmon. Spring smelt run drives the best window; the river is dependent on spring snowmelt and summer rain and can run low and warm by August. Remote access via Greenville/Kokadjo through private timber lands.
