About Selway River
Wild & Scenic freestone draining the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness, joining the Lochsa at Lowell to form the Middle Fork Clearwater. Native west-slope cutthroat and bull trout in remote, pristine pocket water — one of the most wilderness-feeling fisheries in the lower 48.
Regulations
Catch-and-release for cutthroat with single barbless hook in many stretches. Bull trout federally protected — release immediately. Standard Idaho fishing license required. Check current IDFG rules.
