About Soque River

The Soque flows through Habersham County carrying cold, productive water from the Blue Ridge — but most of it is private. Public access is extremely limited; most anglers fish it through guided outfitters or private club memberships. Where accessible, it holds excellent wild rainbows and browns. Standard Georgia regulations apply (8-fish, year-round). The USGS gauge at GA 197 is mid-river near Clarkesville — note the 9-digit USGS site ID (023312495). This is a valid USGS site number; do not truncate or zero-pad it.

Regulations
