About South Llano River

One of the better-kept secrets in Texas fly fishing — a pristine spring-fed river flowing through South Llano River State Park near Junction. The park protects several miles of river with easy limestone-shelf wading and open casting lanes. Largemouth bass hit poppers along grass edges, Guadalupe bass hold in every riffle, and sunfish are unreasonably large. The park's world-class bird watching is a legitimate bonus. An ideal introduction to warmwater fly fishing in a beautiful Hill Country setting.
