About Sturgeon River

The Sturgeon River in Cheboygan County (not to be confused with the UP Sturgeon River in Baraga County) connects to Burt Lake and ultimately to Lake Michigan via the Inland Waterway, providing steelhead access. Wild brook and brown trout inhabit the upper river, with steelhead and rainbows in the lower reaches. A local gem in the northern Lower Peninsula.
