About Tulpehocken Creek

A regulation-controlled tailwater below Blue Marsh Lake dam in Berks County — consistent flows year-round, a cold-water trout fishery within an hour of Philadelphia. Stocked browns and rainbows holdover well, with several truly large carryover fish caught each season. Muted but reliable midge, BWO, and Sulphur hatches.
