About Two-Hearted River

The Two-Hearted River in Luce County, Upper Peninsula, is one of Michigan's great wild brook trout fisheries — remote, pristine, and roadless through much of its length. The river lends its name to Hemingway's famous story, though Hemingway actually fished the nearby Fox River near Seney. No matter — the Two-Hearted is legendary in its own right, with native brook trout in cold, tannin-stained water flowing through the Lake Superior shore country.
