About West Fork Kickapoo River

The West Fork of the Kickapoo River near Avalanche flows through the heart of Vernon County's Driftless dairy country — a classic small-stream limestone fishery with wild brown trout in undercut banks and pocket water. The West Fork is a flagship of decades of Driftless habitat restoration. Less crowded than Timber Coulee but every bit as productive.
