About White River

A major Connecticut River tributary draining central Vermont — classic freestone character with good road access along the Route 14 corridor. Mix of wild and Vermont ANR-stocked browns and rainbows, with native brookies in the upper reaches. Multiple tributaries (First, Second, Third Branch) offer productive smaller water. Best window is 300–800 CFS through June and July.
