About Williams River

A small Connecticut River tributary entering near Bellows Falls. Freestone character with a mix of stocked and wild browns and brookies. Good early-season option in southern Vermont when larger rivers are still too high. Roadside access along Route 103 makes it approachable for beginners — doesn't get the name recognition of the Battenkill or West River, so pressure stays light.
